Forza Motorsport 3 Two Minute Video Game Review

If your idea of living life in the fast lane means driving cars literally in the fast lane up to a speed that can blow road signs off, then you can be sure to shout your heart out over the new Forza Motorsport 3.

The latest sequel to the Forza Motorsport series, Forza keeps it reputation as one of the best and most popular racing simulator video game developed for Xbox 360, improving its images and frame rate – a whopping 60 frames per second - down to the last detail that the only thing from letting you think it’s the real thing is that there is no wind to blow your hair away.

Turn 10 Studios, the developer of the game, has really outdone themselves this time by making the game more approachable and less intimidating even to those who has the least “drive” for it.

Available:  Xbox 360

Forza 3 Cars Unlocked At The Beginning

Forza 3 has expanded its car selection lists to over 400 cars by 50 manufacturers, and not one of them will fail any drive test. And the cool thing about it is that all the cars in the selection are unlocked even at the beginning. You can get your hands on these cars as a reward, free of charge, when you win a lot of races, or by earning a lot of dough so you can buy them.

Forza - No Hunk of Junk Car to Start

Other racing games will leave you no choice but to start out with a hunk of junk and earn your way in before you can drive the faster ones. But Forza 3 does away with that concept. Yes, as with other racing games, you start out with a more modest car, but you can be sure that having an Audi R8 as your first car is a pretty sweet deal. Add the fact that you also have a few driving assists, like traction control and auto-braking, available.

Win Without Auto-Brake

But of course, turning off the assist also has its perks. For example, if you think you can win without the auto-brake, you can get 10 percent more winnings if you win the race. This can definitely help you stack up your money – if you don’t have to pay much for the damage fix-up. Forza 3 also allows you to fine-tune your car, either by an auto-tune assist, or doing it yourself.

Forza 3 Design & Paint Car Your Way

Not all people who are into cars are into driving them, and Forza 3 meets that diversity by adding in a feature that lets people design and paint their car any way they can. They can even design some images that can be pasted on the roof or on the hood.

Online Enabled and Storefront

And the great thing about Forza Motorsport 3 is it is online-enabled, meaning, you can choose from a lot of designs from people who sell theirs at the online storefront. Because of this, Forza 3 added in a scoreboard not just for the fastest racers, but also for the best painters/designers and car tuners around.

Forza 3 Change From Single to Multiplayer Mode

Also, because the game is online-enabled, you can change from a single-player gameplay to a multiplayer mode, inviting in as many a 7 friends to race against. Career mode takes you the world championships seasons that involves several races, with breathtaking background settings from all over the world. You can even put your game to a pause and take a photograph of the scenery on the replay mode.

Real-time Tire Deformation and More

Further features to the simulation are the in-car visual and real-time tire deformation, adding newer depth of knowledge about how your cars can go when driven at a certain way. Cars can also turn over – not that you want that to happen.

Hi KZ Danvers,

Thanks for stopping by to check out my Forza review. I haven't met anyone who doesn't love Forza. This racing game delivers so much and with exciting realism to boot.

I'm going to have to check out the Evolution Gaming Seat. Seems like it may be just what I need.

Thanks again for stopping by. Have a great day!

Yes! Forza may be the reason why I will finally get an Xbox 360 and a Playseats Evolution Gaming Seat. I've been holding out on those two, being satisfied with the offerings from Nintendo and Sony's Playstation platforms (and PC racing games too). I could never justify buying an Xbox just play Halo (which isn't really my thing anyway). But Forza looks great!

I remember the entire reason I bought a Gamecube (way back in the day) was just to play Star Wars Rogue Leader, but then fell in love with Need For Speed's lineup - especially Most Wanted. On the Wii I've loved NFS Carbon. For Playstation2/3... hmmm... can't think of my favorite racing game for it...

Anyway thanks for this hubpage! Check mine out on the Evolution Gaming Seat: http://hubpages.com/hub/Playseats-Evolution-Gaming
