Ju-On The Grudge One Minute Video Game Review

What would you do if you happened to enter a real haunted house and were faced with the terrors within? This game, which has its inspiration in The Grudge, will let you discover that. Once you're in the house, all you have with you is your Wiimote flashlight. What will you find in every dark corner? Will the abandoned warehouse, scary hospital, or creepy mannequin factory get to you, scaring you out of your wits? Will you jump once you start seeing moving furniture or ghostly figures? Co-op style play brings a new dimension to the terror. A pair of you can act as ghostly investigators with your Wiimotes. You might even suspect your friend of being responsible for the ghostly happenings.

In Ju-On: The Grudge, you'll be able to experience the abject terror one feels in the scariest of horror films and video games, as you are scared out of your wits. Ju-On: The Grudge, based on the Japanese film series that inspired "The Grudge," with all of its search and find activities will show you new frights and scares beyond your wildest dreams using the interactivity and insane graphics potential of the Wii.

This is the Wii's first haunted house game, and in it one or two players can investigate these haunted houses and scary environments, experiencing all the thrills and scares while clutching the Wiimote as a flashlight. Your flashlight is all you have to lead the way and reveal each new terrifying corner and corridor.

If someone dies under a great deal of stress, terror, and turmoil, as well as burning rage, a curse is born. This happens to a Japanese housewife who is murdered in a manner too horrible to imagine; her anger fuels a powerful curse that seeks to avenge itself upon unsuspecting victims. No matter how innocent or guilty those who encounter the curse are, as soon as they enter the curse's place of origin, they are destined to be killed.

A girl named Erika Yamada is destined to be the next victim of the curse when she encounters the ghostly figure in an abandoned warehouse; she soon learns that her whole family is at risk, vowing to set things right and release themselves from the curse in order to save her loved ones.

If you don't really enjoy scary things like ghosts, ghouls, monsters, etc. this may not be a good fit for you.

However, if you do like scary things, you'll be able to enjoy and appreciate The Grudge, just as you enjoyed the movies that came out a few years ago.

Due to the interactive movie style feel of the game, you'll be able to recapture the feelings of terror and unease that you experienced watching The Grudge movies but now as a new Wii game.

In Ju-On The Grudge, you'll fall right into its gritty, spooky atmosphere. You'll illuminate your surroundings with you flashlight, manipulated by the Wiimote, so you can see where you are. You can take some time to take in your surroundings, moving at a speed you customize; just be sure not to linger, as you'll soon have dangerous, ghostly visitors if you do that.

You'll experience everything you hear about in haunted house stories - faint images of ghosts, shaking objects and furniture, dusty footprints that aren't yours, and other things that will make you run for the door immediately. As the main character, you have to keep going, until you start finding the subject of the curse, a child vexed by a demon

There are settings for two players, but it's not exactly a co-op game; The Grudge, instead, allows a second person with another Wiimote to trigger scary things to happen on screen, scaring the first player when they least expect it. It can be all a matter of fun for the second person - you can even do it when they don't know you're playing; just enter the room as they play by themselves, and secretly get the other Wiimote and start playing games with them. It's really fun and keeps players on their toes.

Unlike the majority of horror games out there, you won't be fighting monsters to survive, as it's not survival horror as we've come to define it. All it is, really, is a begrimed, sullen and frightening haunted house simulator - you'll walk through creepy environments, while your resolve (and bladder control) is tested as you experience scare after scare.

Imagine the fun you can add to your Halloween festivities with this game, so hurry and pick it up Ju On The Grudge now (as a rental or free trial) and start getting scared. If you miss out for Halloween, be sure to plan your scary game night as soon as possible

I'd like to hear your thoughts, so after you check it out, stop by and let me know how it goes!.

Enjoy!
